A Weekend Of Balloons

Finally, I was able to make it at the 17th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Festival at Clark, Pampanga with my family and friends.

The day for this event started early for everyone -- preparations that is. My family and friends are to go on Saturday and Friday felt like Saturday dawn as preparations like food and drinks were dearly prepared by my wife.

This actually happened last week and I am only able to write about this today. Needed some time to recuperate from the exhaustion and lack of sleep. As I have said, everything started early as we arrived there while the moon is still shining and everything was still in darkness.

The event started with a flag jump done by the Philippine Army as our National Anthem played along and the early morning sun rose.

And the balloons started to inflate and warm up their air and prepare for flight. Different kinds of balloons took shape with varying colors and sizes.

It wasn't only a weekend of everything that flies as there were some screeching tires as well as some ultralight air crafts tried to flour bomb these drift machines.

And more things that fly.

At the end of the day, the night glow was held. Unfortunately, there weren't any balloons flying as the wind was too strong for of the balloons to safely take flight. Still, the night glow was still amazing.

There goes my experience on the 17th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Festival and my photography skills practice.

What happened in between the balloon flights? Here are some photos:

Tried some landscape photography

And that concludes our last weekend. This weekend? Check back for the next post.
