New Learning: Portraits

I learned something new today. Something about portraits.

When we look at models on a glossy magazine of any kind, models have this sort of silky smooth skin. I thought it was just pure make-up and special lights that makes it look that way. Technology has it's share on how it's done nowadays as I have just learned.

Having myself as the lucky guinea pig for this learning, I believe I learned a lot. It needs a little patience to do it though. But for a first time try, this a good result in my opinion. I used the photo I took on my "Flash Experiment" entry as it has some nice things to clean up and also has a nice play of light and shadows. So, here's the result:

I think I should put myself on a magazine cover like so:

Thanks to technology!

Stock Photos

When my brain's creative juices squeeze out, I do some stock photography. I'm able to do this very seldom and as a result a very low pool of stock photos in my Fotolia Portfolio. I've posted an ad of Fotolia above where I try to sell some of my stock photos.

The majority of my stock photos are food, toys, and some general objects. I'm planning to branch out in some stocks photos with some people in it.

If you're planning to do some stock photography, read through all the microstock agencies' terms and conditions. I've chosen Fotolia for it's ease of use.

If you're laying out some graphics, you can also consider Fotolia as a source of stock photos.

Scrambling...

It's one of those days when you're asked to do something and you haven't got enough of the things you need. This is what I am feeling right now. I really wanted to take up on the request in order for me to get some experience but I am scrambling for equipment as I realized I don't have the minimal setup I need to do the job.

Anyway, one way or another, I'll get that minimal setup I need for the job!

Happy With New Header

Didn't you notice my new header??? Oh yes, I did that on my own and I am very happy with my first attempt on having an image header.

My many thanks to "Blogger Buster's" little tutorial on how to change or customize blog pages! Kudos!

Now that I have my own image header, I'd be exploring more on how to customize my blog page further and give life to it with a taste of my own.
